For the second stretch of 8.7-kilometre, from Moolchand Hospital to Delhi Gate, the government decided to have extreme left lane of the carriageway reserved for buses unlike the first phase where extreme right lane (along the central verge) of the carriageway was reserved for buses. The second stretch of BRT corridor is scheduled to open on September 1 for trial.

But traffic experts Hindustan Times spoke to said having the bus lane on the left is a bad idea as free movement of

buses would be constantly obstructed. Here's what HT found after visiting the stretch.
