TRS on Friday petitioned Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee to disqualify its MP Ale Narendra from the House who defying the party whip and voted in favour of the UPA Government in Tuesday's trust vote.

TRS leader B Vinod Kumar, in his letter to the Speaker, demanded that Narendra should be expelled from the Lok Sabha as he violated the party directive to cast his vote against the Government.
"We sent a telegram followed by a letter through courier service asking him to vote against the Government. He did not heed to it and now we are demanding his expulsion from the House," Kumar told reporters here.
Narendra, the Medak MP, should be disqualified under the provisions of the 10th Schedule, he added.
The Medak MP was earlier expelled from TRS for anti- party activities.
When asked whether TRS can demand his disqualification as Narendra has been already expelled from the party, Kumar said that a party MP can be disqualified even if he is expelled from the party as per a previous Supreme Court order.
