Twin blasts probe with NIA

After mollycoddling the Andhra Pradesh police, the Union home ministry officials on Thursday finally managed to hand over probe of the Hyderabad twin blasts case to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). HT reports.

After mollycoddling the Andhra Pradesh police, the Union home ministry officials on Thursday finally managed to hand over probe of the Hyderabad twin blasts case to the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

An NIA statement said the agency had taken over probe in the twin blasts of February 21 and a special investigation team had been constituted.

The statement went on to add that the SIT, headed by a DIG rank officer from the NIA, will include two Deputy SPs and one inspector from the Andhra Pradesh police as well.
