Two killed in hit-and-run

Two men on a motorcycle were killed when they were hit by an unknown vehicle and crushed by a second one at Ashram flyover in south Delhi on Sunday night.

The two men — Jivan Sharma, 25 and his friend Rohit Sati, 21 — were returning home on a Yahama FZ motorcycle after attending a friend’s birthday in Noida when the accident took place around 9 pm, police said.

A police officer said Sharma was riding the motorcycle. They were heading to Sati’s home in Kotla Mubarakpur when an unknown vehicle hit their motorcycle from behind.

“Both fell off the motorcycle. Before they could stand up, another vehicle from behind crushed them. While Sati died on the spot, Sharma died at the AIIMS Trauma Centre,” said a police officer. Sati was not wearing a helmet. The police registered a case of hit and run.
