Two labourers died after a portion of a fire station's wall collapsed on them at Gokulpuri in northeast Delhi on Wednesday morning, police said.

The deceased Pramod, 21 and Zohar, 45, belonged to Bihar. They were reportedly working on a drain near the fire station when the wall collapsed.
According to police, around six labourers were working on the drain under the instructions of a private contractor when the incident occurred. The wall seemed to have become weak because of accumulation of water under its foundation.
The labourers, who were trapped under the debris, were rescued during a joint operation by police and fire officials. They were rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared Pramod and Zohar dead.
A case of causing death due to negligence has been registered in regard to the incident at the Gokulpuri police station. Police are questioning the contractor and other labourers, who were present at the time of the incident.
