On 22 July 2009, the youth from Mator village was thrashed to death in Singhwaal village in presence of a warrant officer, who had gone with Vedpaal to get his wife from her house as per High Court orders.

Vedpaal’s parents had appealed to the High court for a compensation. The HC had ordered the Haryana government to pay the compensation. The Narwana Police on Saturday gave the money to Vedpaal’s father Harikishan, who has appealed for early arrest of the remaining three people accused in his son’s killing.
