"A Hyundai Santro car, a Maruti Swift, two Honda Activa Scooter and two motorbikes have been recovered from their possession," Ashok Chand, DCP (crime) said. The arrest came following information that a gang of auto lifters active in Delhi and UP would come at Shaheen Bagh in Jamia Nagar.

The interrogation of Waseem revealed that Mumbai Police arrested him in 2003 along with Telgi in the forged stamp paper case. He was also wanted in cases of criminal breach of trust, theft and dacoity of Rudrapur, Uttarakhand and Aligarh.
