The rainfall that the city received in these two months so far is a whopping 261% above normal. While the normal rainfall figure for these two months is 41 mm, Delhi has already seen 148 mm of rain. The city saw over 50 mm of rainfall on February 4 this year, which was the highest in one day in February in five decades.

But this is not the last of the rain. Delhiites can expect a rainy Saturday, Sunday and Monday as another western disturbance is active over north western India.

"Intense rainfall spells over Delhi and adjoining states have been more frequent during this year. In the current winter season up to February 20, three western disturbances affected north-west India and caused heavy rain," said a senior Met official.

The temperature, which has been hovering around the 26-degree mark, is expected to drop by a few degrees in the coming days.

On Saturday, the temperature in the Capital is expected to be between 23 degrees and 14 degrees.
