Delhi Police have arrested a 61-year-old woman for selling a property five times over to five different persons. The woman had reportedly done this to fund the studies of her three sons who are all doctors now.

The woman, identified as Usha Johri, was arrested after a complaint by Mayur Jain, a builder, who bought a four-storey house in Janakpuri for Rs 1.64 crore and found that the said property was already occupied when he went to take its possession.
After enquiry, he came to know that occupants had also purchased the same property. "During investigation we came to know that accused woman had sold the property to five different persons and cheated them to the tune of Rs 3.5 crore," said V Renganathan, additional commissioner of police (west).
The police interrogated all the victims to trace Johri.
