The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has begun the recruitment process for the selection of Constables (general duty or GD).

A total of 25,271 vacancies in this position will be filled in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), National Investigation Agency (NIA), and Secretariat Security Force (SSF) will be filled. Vacancies will also be filled in Rifleman (General Duty) post in Assam Rifles.

The examination for selection to these posts will be done by the staff selection commission (SSC). The recruitment process will consist of Computer Based Examination (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), Medical Examination and Document Verification.

SSC constable GD 2021: Know how vacancies will be filled

Vacancies of Constable (GD) in SSF will be filled on All India basis whereas vacancies in all other CAPFs will be filled as per the vacancies available in various States/ UTs.

There are few vacancies earmarked for the Border Guarding Districts and Militancy or Naxal affected Districts which are reserved for the candidates of these districts only.

Final result along with force allocation will be declared by the Commission based on the performance of candidates in the Computer Based Examination subject to their qualifying the Physical Standard Test, Physical Efficiency Test, and Medical Examination.
