JEE Advanced 2020 Highlights: Check expert analysis, students’ reactions on Paper 1 and 2

JEE Advanced 2020 : The Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE- Advanced 2020) paper 2 exam has concluded. The exam was conducted amid strict protocols in order to prevent the candidates from getting infected with Coronavirus. The exam organising authority IIT- Delhi said in an official statement that 96% of the total candidates appeared in the exam on Sunday. 1,51,311 candidates took the Paper 1 exam and 1,50,900 candidates took the paper 2 exam. JEE Advanced was conducted in two shifts. The paper 1 exam was held from 9 am to 12 noon and the second slot exam was held from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. JEE-Advanced 2020 was conducted across 222 cities and over 1,000 exam centres this year. JEE Advanced 2020: ‘Both the papers of Physics tough’

Naman Pratap, who secured 529 rank in JEE main, said, “This year JEE Advanced examination was tough as compared to previous year. I found paper 2 tougher than paper 1, but there was no drastic change in the question pattern. Both the papers of physics were tough. Some physics questions required mixing of concepts which was extremely time consuming. Paper was lengthy. Paper 2 mathematics questions required a lot of diligence as it has multiple twist and turn. Chemistry questions were more direct.”

JEE Main UP topper finds paper difficult as compared to last year

Majority of candidates who appeared in JEE Advanced examination in the state capital on Sunday found paper 2 more difficult, lengthy and time consuming as compared to paper 1. Physics section was comparatively difficult to chemistry and mathematics which were of moderate difficulty level. JEE main state topper L Gokulnath said, “Paper was far more difficult as compared to last year. I felt paper 1 was time consuming. Physics was on the tougher side followed by chemistry and mathematics. I will be able to figure out my rank only after the answer key is out.”

JEE Advanced witnessed largest number of nodes ever provided by TCS-iON for an exam

IIT Delhi in an official statement said that JEE Advanced has witnessed the largest number of nodes ever provided by TCS-iON for an exam in the country which is approximately 3.4 lakh nodes, to accommodate everyone while complying to social distancing norms.
