TMC govt never implemented many of Centre's scheme in Bengal: PM Modi
At Bengal rally, PM Modi lists 'Jan Dhan' and other schemes of Centre, says TMC govt never implemented many of these in Bengal
Addressing a rally in poll-bound West Bengal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted 'Jan Dhan' and other schemes of the Centre, stating that the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government never implemented many of these in the state. The Prime Minister was addressing the crowd at Kanthi, in East Midnapore, which is present BJP heavy-weight and past TMC supremo Suvendu Adhikari's family bastion. Both Adhikari and his father Sisir, the current Member of Parliament from Kanthi, shared the stage with the Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister told the audience that if BJP comes to power in Bengal money will be deposited directly into farmers account, adding that it is something "Mamata Didi did not do in the past 3 years."
PM Modi also talked about Cyclone Amphan relief sent by the Centre, accusing the chief minister of not answering those who were affected by the storm. "The relief sent to Bengal by the Centre got stuck in the 'Bhaipo window'. Didi, Bengal wants to know who looted the relief for Amphan?" the Prime Minister asked.
The BJP has only 'mantra', employment for the poor, house for the poor, and honour for the poor.

Hitting out at TMC's popular election slogan 'Khela Hobe' the Prime Minister said Didi might want to play games but BJP only wants to serve, adding that there will be no games only work, as time for games have ended.
The Prime Minister also criticised Mamata Banerjee for defaming Nandigram in front of the nation by spreading lies and accusations, even though the people have only ever treated her honourably. "People of Nandigram won't tolerate this insult, they will ask you for answers. These self-respecting people will punish you for this insult in this very election,"
"Didi's government has only brought darkness, the double engine government led by BJP will usher in Sonar Bangla," PM Modi said at the rally, adding that the results of the May 2 elections are visible in people's eyes.
The Prime Minister jocularly remarked that he has to call on 'Didi' many times during his speech because she does not listen.
'Badh Badh BJP Sarkar' (time and again BJP government), the Prime Minister said concluding his speech.
Elections to the 294-member West Bengal Assembly are scheduled to be held in eight phases starting from March 27 and will end on April 29. The counting of votes will take place on May 2.
