It seems some citizens are taking their fundamental rights much too seriously! Agreed we have the right to express, but does that mean we muddle the Constitutional provisions to garner on 15 minutes of fame? Here's a classic case.

Hemendra Singh bought a Samsung cell phone in April this year from a local dealer. However, parts of the phone were faulty and the phone dealer refused to change the phone even though it was under the warranty period.So, instead of appealing to the consumer court, he decided to make a kill out of it. He went ahead and sued Aamir Khan! Why? Because Khan endorses the brand.



In his complaint, Singh claimed that he bought the cell phone only because he was a huge Khan fan. "I am a fan of Aamir Khan and I believed his claim (advertisement) and bought the handset," Singh told Mid-Day.

Now, in an appalling turn of events, the magistrate has actually summoned the actor for a court hearing on November 29.



Singh's lawyer told Mid-Day, "Aamir is the brand ambassador of the product and as the handset was substandard the court has issued a notice to him."
