Boyle’s next? Despite the director announcing that he’s ready for another India-centric movie, the choreographer admits that he hasn’t been contacted. “Unfortunately, when Danny was in Mumbai, I was travelling,” he says. “But I did get in touch with him via email.” For now, Fernandes is keeping his fingers crossed: “I’d love to work with Danny again.”

Meanwhile, he’s busy with a musical comedy series, Bollywood Heroes, also featuring Chris Kattan, Julian Sands and Neha Dhupia. A musical documentary with filmmaker Brian Hill (Songbirds, Pornography — The Musical) is also underway.

“If all goes well, I will be choreographing a Bollywood dance sequence for this year’s Winter Olympics in Vancouver,” he says.

Right now, he is a part of a dance workshop to be held at the Arts In Motion Dance Studio. “The style chosen was Bollywood on public demand. I was happy that they wanted me on board because they think I am good at it.”
