Two days before the release of her new album, Bionic, Christina Aguilera will perform at MTV's 19th annual Movie Awards Show, live in Los Angeles on June 6 at 9 PM ET.

Two days before the release of her new album, Bionic, Christina Aguilera will perform at MTV's 19th annual Movie Awards Show, live in Los Angeles on June 6 at 9 PM ET.

The event's host is actor and comedian Aziz Ansari, who stars on the US sitcom Parks and Recreation. He has also appeared on I Love You Man with Paul Rudd, HBO's Flight of the Conchords. He will soon be seen in Get Him to the Greek with Russell Brand.

This show awards films that especially appeal to a younger audience and is perhaps best known for categories like Best Kiss, Best Villain and Best WTF Moment. New categories have been added this year including Biggest Bad-Ass Star and Global Superstar (voted by localized online ballots) and another specifically for horror films.

The voting for nominees kicks off on May 11 through June 5 online when fans can choose their favourite actors, films and moments in the various categories. Votes for Best Movie will remain open throughout the telecast show.

Presenters include Steve Carell, Jonah Hill, Russell Brand, Zac Efron, Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz, Jessica Biel, Bradley Cooper, Sean "Diddy" Combs, and the previous host of MTV's Video Music Awards Show, Russell Brand.
