Miffed over baseless and false quotes being attributed to her about her personal life, actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has threatened to take legal action against such irresponsible acts in a section of the media.
"Irresponsible statements about her private life will not be left to grow without a strong rebuttal," a statement issued on behalf of the actress by her publicist said.
"This may be read and understood in no uncertain terms that henceforth we would be forced to take legal recourse in any such event of a piece or article appearing without any credibility or which is an absolute fabrication of one's imagination," it said.
The Bollywood diva's ire was directed at a section of the media after a quote was attributed to her regarding maternity and her career in film industry.
The statement said previously the actress chose to remain silent to the news that she was married off to a tree.
