He is dead serious when he’s at the table, but otherwise, 23-year-old Pankaj Advani, who has conquered the world of billiards, is a chilled-out guy. “I don’t want to be known as a billiard super nerd… that’s why I’m trying my hand at new things,” he says. “I’m learning dancing — I think I have a flair for it.”
Oh, and he also watches films. “I like every movie I see, yaar,” says this Bollywood fan, who thinks Katrina Kaif is the hottest girl around. If he were to be an actor, it would be a “mix of Shahid Kapur, SRK and Hrithik Roshan”.
Right now, he’s enjoying his break and working out hard. His aim is not a Ghajini body. “Not at all. I would rather have a lean body and a flat stomach.” Girls would love that look, but for now Advani is not available. More than romance, it is fashion that interests him. He defines fashion as “making the clothes you wear look good, not the other way round”.
Although he claims that being “just one of the many achievers in the world” keeps him humble, Advani is not shy to admit that he loves the limelight. “I love the attention, the pressure. Mom calls me a pressure cooker,” he laughs. “I cook only under pressure.”
