Actor Asin’s rumoured relationship with actor Neil Nitin Mukesh has been in news for a while now, but the latest reports doing the rounds is that the two have split, as Asin’s father did not approve of Neil.
“These are all baseless speculations. It does not bother me, as these reports will die down eventually. But yes, it definitely makes for a good read,” says Asin, who is busy promoting Sajid Khan’s upcoming film Housefull 2, in which, she plays the female lead opposite actor Akshay Kumar.
The 26-year-old actor’s role in the sequel was essayed by actor Deepika Padukone in the first film. So, is Asin vary of the comparisons? “Not at all, as the entire film and my role is different. Also, I was the first choice for Housefull, but could not do it due to date issues,” she says.
Rubbishing reports that she lost 10 kilos for her role in Housefull 2, Asin says, “I did lose three to four kilos, but not because Sajid asked me. It was more of a personal thing.” She adds, “I am not at all size zero”.
Asin, who has been part of films such as Ghajini, London Dreams and Ready, is tight-lipped about working with actors Shah Rukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor in her next films. “I never talk about a film or my co-star before the production house makes an official announcement,” she says.
