Baby boy for Shilpa Shetty

Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra were blessed with a baby boy on Monday morning at the Hinduja Healthcare boutique hospital in Khar. The 36-year-old actor had gone for a routine check-up, but was admitted immediately as her contractions began.

Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra were blessed with a baby boy on Monday morning at the Hinduja Healthcare boutique hospital in Khar. The 36-year-old actor had gone for a routine check-up, but was admitted immediately as her contractions began.

Husband Raj was by Shilpa’s side during her labour, and witnessed his son being born at dawn. The ecstatic dad tweeted, “God has blessed us with a beautiful baby boy. Both mother and baby are fine. I am thrilled to bits! A big thank you to my wife @TheShilpaShetty for the bestest gift ever, Dr Kiran Cohelo and all the staff at Hinduja Hospital!

Thank you all for your love and wishes. Both mum and baby K are resting. Our parents now turn grandparents.” (sic)

Says Shilpa’s mother, Sunanda Shetty, “The baby is beautiful, lovely. Shilpa is doing well too. We are absolutely delighted to be grandparents now.” Sunanda adds that it’s too early to think of a name for the baby as they are revelling in his birth for now.

Congratulatory messages started pouring in from the industry. Riteish Deshmukh tweeted,“Congratulationnssson the arrival of the bundle of joy.” Others wishing the

couple included actors Bipasha Basu, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Sameera Reddy and R Madhavan.
