Mahesh Bhatt is sparing no efforts to ensure that his film Nazar, the first India-Pakistan co-production, directed by his wife Soni Razdan, gets official clearance for a Pakistan release.

The film, starring Pakistani actress Meera in the central role, is said to be inspired from Irvin Kershner's 1978 supernatural thriller Eyes Of Laura Mars, reports Bollywood Trade.

Bhatt is actively coordinating with his Pakistani counterpart in securing a simultaneous release for the film in India and Pakistan in February next year.

"I am confident that our efforts will pay off. In fact my Pakistani investor Sohail Khan has even tied up with Pakistani distributors for the film's release. All we need to do is get an official nod from the government there," says Bhatt.

He said the release of the film would pave the way for six more co-productions in Pakistan. "I have got some great plans lined up but their realization is subject to Nazar seeing the light of the day there," he says.
