That famous baritone the entire nation is familiar with will soon speak to anyone who visits Amitabh Bachchan’s blog. This will be the newest attraction of the blog that completes a year this month.
On April 17, 2008, Amitabh posted his first blog. On day one, his entry received 994 comments. Since then, on an average, the blog has been getting a minimum of 500 hits.
Speaking of his plans for the one-year-old venture, he tells HT City, “There will be technical improvements. We plan to make it a voice blog, where I can record my voice through the cell phone. I will not only be able to read out my entry, but interact with the respondents directly, too.”
The Bachchan family is very appreciative of his discipline of updating his blog every night. “Dad is amazing,” says son Abhishek. “His commitment to his extended family, which he has named ‘EF’, is beyond any physical or situational limitation. He just switches on his Mac and gets connected.”
Amitabh adds, “I am duty-bound to my EF and feel like giving back the love they give me.” If you thought it’s all praise and mushy comments from fans, think again. “Oh, I love their honesty,” says Amitabh. “They correct my grammar, my spellings. At times, they give me information I don’t have.”
