To start with, Karan recently spent almost a month there to work on the script of his next film. He also constantly expressed his love for the city on Twitter. “New York is a dichotomy of a city....all the hustle bustle and yet an underlying layer of loneliness (sic),” read his tweet on October 2.

His next update went like this: ‘Wide awake in the city that never sleeps....sometimes thoughts keep you awake and sometimes the lack of them (sic).” The My Name Is Khan (2010) filmmaker was also spotted with Ranbir and Abhishek Bachchan. Ranbir again left for New York immediately after the release of Besharam, which turned out to be a box office debacle. He was holidaying there with his best friend and director Ayan Mukerji.

Meanwhile, Sonam Kapoor, too, took off to NYC with her family. In August, Priyanka Chopra was spotted shooting a commercial on the busy streets of Manhattan.
