Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s 24-year-old wife Sakshi, or ‘Sakshi bhabhi’ as fans call her, is flooded with Twitter and Facebook messages urging her to help her husband lead India to victory at the crucial India-Pakistan World Cup semi-final at Mohali on Wednesday.
“Sakshi bhabi... Dhoni forgetting his helicopter shot... he looks over defensive...,” read a comment by a fan, Bikash.
Riyaz Khan wrote on Facebook: “Please tell Dhoni to take Raina and Ashwin in the team... instead of taking Chawla.”
Satish commented: “Dhoni must pick the right bowlers.”
Others are advising her to play lucky charm for the Indian team by making sure she’s present in the stadium at Mohali.
“Bhabhiji why don’t u come 2 the stadiums 2 watch India’s matches (sic),” wrote Pooja.
“We need you at the matches to make sure Dhoni plays his best,” posted Niharika.
The suggestions aren’t stopping on Twitter, either. Akanksha Sethi wrote, “You are really lucky for him (Dhoni).”
Rimi 2983 tweeted, “Please go to Mohali match di. Hope you will be the lucky charm.”
Sachi, who seems to be a Suresh Raina fan, tweeted, “Give Raina a big hug from me.”
Sakshi, who wedded Dhoni in July last year, has four dedicated Facebook fan groups with over 6,500 members.
