As 2008 ends, I am really looking forward to a holiday! This has been a hectic year which started with the shoot of Rock On! on January 7.
A month after when the film’s shoot was complete I began preparing for my sister Zoya’s film Luck By Chance. For a few months I juggled with Zoya’s film Rock On! promotion and release and Humanity concert. Now I am busy hosting Oye! It’s Friday!
The year 2008 was a blur. It went by so quickly. But there were three highlights:
* The Olympics and it was a fantastic moment when India won an individual gold.
* It was a year for film debuts with Harman Baweja, Imran Khan, Prachi Desai, Mimoh, Abbas Tyrewala, Tarun Mansukhani, Anushka Sharma, Mugda Godse, Sikander Kher, Neeraj Pandey, Raj Kumar Gupta, Rajeev Khandelwal (and me).
* Thirdly, my younger daughter turned one!
The year ahead: 2009
I think 2009 will be a defining year especially after the recent Mumbai attacks. We will hopefully see people work for change. We must stay focussed and involved until that change occurs. And that’s my wish for us for the coming year.
