The city’s entertainment circuit just added a new address. Trilogy, the much-anticipated nightclub opened on Wednesday at Hotel Sea Princess, Juhu. Bollywood actors Imran Khan accompanied by girlfriend Avantika Malik made an appearance, while Ayesha Takia and Harman Baweja were also present.
The nightclub is spread across two levels. The lower section features a bar and lounge area, while the upper half is filled with pulsating electronic music and glass boxes with LED displays hanging from the ceiling. Bartenders wearing waistcoats and fedoras serve up glass after glass of expensive spirits and cocktails.
Keenan and Ryan Tham, sons of restaurateur Henry Tham, are the brains of the operation. Says Keenan, “We will charge Rs 1,000 for entry on weekends, while on weekdays it will be free. However we have a strict ‘couple entry only’ policy.”
The club has four VIP tables, which can be booked for a minimum of Rs 25,000 each. One VVIP table, which faces the sea, is available for a minimum of Rs 75,000. “Most of our VIP tables are booked,” says Keenan. “We’ve had a very good response so far.”
The club plans to introduce new genres of music, with new age electronic and hip-hop taking precedence. The lower level will have a lounge vibe with live acts and musicians playing the Spanish guitar and flamenco music. They have no plans to play Bollywood music.

“Along with promoting local talent, we also plan to fly down major international acts,” reveals Keenan. “You can expect to see names like David Guetta headlining the club.”
The cuisine leans towards the Orient with exotic offerings like kingfish carpaccio and soft shell crab tempura also making the cut. The bar will focus on promoting high-end alcohol like the Ed Hardy vodka, which will cost you Rs 21,500 for a bottle. “We will be serving absinthe in ice glasses which you can eat after finishing your drink” Keenan adds. “For those at the VIP tables, if you order a bottle of champagne, it will come to you in a four-and-a-half foot tall Martini glass.”
