Hollywood actor Mel Gibson's former partner Oksana Grigorieva has branded him "cruel", accusing him of failing to pay for the maintenance of their daughter.

Hollywood actor Mel Gibson's former partner Oksana Grigorieva branded him "cruel", accusing him of failing to pay for the maintenance of their daughter, Lucia.

Gibson split from Grigorieva, the mother of his seven-month-old child, earlier this year and the former couple is said to be embroiled in a battle over visitation rights.

The Russian singer claims Gibson is not paying her "a penny" towards the upkeep of their daughter and she is "having to live on credit cards", reports imdb.com.

"He is not paying me a penny. Nothing. There are so many lies being said about me. I was trying to keep things dignified and be respectful to the father of my daughter, but what he is doing is cruelty. I am having to live on credit cards and borrowed money. It is not a good situation," she said.

"We were together for three years. So much that is being put out there is wrong. He didn't dump me, I left him. I rescued my children and myself," she added.
