prefers statistics to critics. When asked about the dismal performance of

, the actor promptly reacts, “We have the figures. I will send it to you through email.” He orders somebody to get it sent immediately and adds, “I am really excited and satisfied that the film has come out really well. We are getting good responses.”

”Critics can say whatever they feel; it is their individual opinion. But the verdict of masses has come out and it is positive”, says the 13-film old actor defensively.

Relating to his character for Sharman Joshi is not as important as its perfect execution. “It is not important to relate to your character completely. You may have a few shades of character in your real self, but not always. Even I could not relate to some aspects of Shyam (his character in ) and I had to interpret them in my own way,” says the actor in a terse tone.

Sharman, however, considers himself a “balanced chap”.

”I have my moments of complexity and also of clarity. I am quite a balanced chap,” says the actor philosophically.

Sharman Joshi apparently has maintained this balance in his choice of films too. He portrayed comic characters in films like and with aplomb, and at the same time displayed his serene side in films and . Is industry taking too long to recognize his talent?
