X Factor judge Cheryl Cole says she will continue loving her British footballer ex-husband Ashley Cole despite their failed marriage.
The 27-year-old said on a TV show that she has not been able to explain the reason behind their fallout, reports dailymail.co.uk.
The singer was in tears as she said she still believed he was "a genuinely nice guy", and added: "Once we get over this obstacle, I hope we can be friends again. A part of me will always love Ashley."
"Looking back on it, I feel numb. We had a great marriage and a fantastic wedding day but I don't know where it went wrong. To this day I still question that."
The two are still in touch after they were granted divorce in September, following Ashley's infidelity during their three-and-a-half year marriage.
