After an eventful 2008, which involved a debut in the hit film Jannat and rumours of being publicly slapped by her alleged boyfriend, Sonal Chauhan has been lying low these past months. But the sultry actress is making waves yet again — this time, for replacing Jiah Khan in Owais Husain’s directorial debut and for bagging Anthony D’ Souza’s flick opposite John Abraham.
However, Sonal clarifies that most of these are just rumours. “I am not aware if I have replaced Jiah Khan. And although I am in talks with him, I haven’t signed Anthony’s film. Neither have I signed Vikram Bhatt’s film, as is being reported. I am shooting Owais’s film presently but can’t talk about it,” says the actress who was in town to launch the AIBA store.
Considering all the rumours surrounding her life, it comes as no surprise that the actress plans to launch her own website through which she intends to trash various false reports as well as interact with fans. Chauhan claims she has been following all her fan clubs on various sites and says she is flattered by the compliments she gets there. “Life has changed so much since Jannat. It feels wonderful when people write things like ‘you are an angel’. And of course, I can deny rumours... that’s going to be one important part of it,” she says.
Although she was launched by the Bhatts, she turned down their film Jashn, which reportedly led to bad blood between the actress and the Bhatts. “Not true,” she quips. “There were date problems and saying no was completely my loss. I regret it, I’m sure it’s a great film.”

{{/usCountry}}Although she works round the clock, she finds time to do crazy things, too. “Sometimes I drive off for no reason without telling anyone. Once, I drove to Lonavala from Mumbai impulsively.”
So, is she over the bad patch that involved various reports of problems with alleged boyfriend Sahil Zaroo? “I chose to keep silent then because that incident was not a part of my life. Why should I answer questions about something that never happened?”
And as for her her personal life, she says, “I am single, in love... but with my work.”
