Actor Ranbir Kapoor, who is playing the lead with Deepika Padukone in Ayan Mukerji’s romantic film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, wishes he had the knack to bully directors just like he says his dad, actor Rishi Kapoor, does.
“My dad bullies directors and others ... and I wish to do that someday,” says the actor, adding he has learned a lot about on-screen chemistry by watching his dad and mum Neetu Singh, who were one of the most popular on-screen pairs in their heydays in Bollywood.
The 30-year-old is upbeat about sharing screen space with them in his upcoming film, Besharam. “It was a good experience for me to shoot with my parents. We used to discuss scenes and rehearse. They are both very good actors. It was like a family get-together.” And, he is quite sure he’ll make it big like them one day. “I am an ambitious actor and I hope would get to work with a lot of actors and directors. I have miles to go as an actor ... I am happy that my parents are proud of me. It feels great.”
While Yeh Jawaani... is slated for a May 31 release, Besharam, directed by Abhinav Kashyap and co-starring Pallavi Sharda, is up for an October release.

Apart from films, it is solo travelling that keeps the actor occupied at other times. “I love to travel alone. I am a loner. I do not need any company ... I am comfortable with myself while I visit restaurants or shops,” he says, picking new York as his favourite destination and adding that he’d like to visit it “with or without” his girlfriend.
