Anushka says in an interview to Vogue India that she has learned a lot since her debut alongside Shah Rukh Khan in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008).
“Aishwarya (Rai Bachchan, actor) once told me that at the end of my career, what I’ll remember are the experiences I’ve had — the hits and flops won’t make a difference. I probably didn’t understand it then. But I do now. I know all of this is going to go away some day, that someone younger and better will come along. If I ignore that and live in an illusion, I’ll be very bitter at the end of my life,” she says.
The actor is sure that working with good directors will help her go through great experiences. “Working with people like Vishal (Bhardwaj), Rajkumar (Hirani), Anurag (Kashyap) … their life experiences are so varied that it helps them build really distinctive characters. And that helps me…”
She says that while each of them have their own distinct styles, “What’s common is their passion.”
