Though actor Mahima Chaudhary has stayed away from the limelight for long, the Pardes girl is now ready to make a comeback, even though it is on the small screen.
The 38-year-old actor, who has been part of films such as Daag: The Fire, Lajja and Baghban, before she took a break after marriage to raise her daughter Ariana, is pepped up about her debut on television with the reality show, Chhote Miyan Chapter 3, on Colors.
Mahima, who was recently seen canvassing during the UP elections, talks to us about politics, her daughter, future plans, and much more.
On motherhood:I am a hands-on mom and little paranoid at times. I get my daughter, Ariana, ready for school. I even control what she watches on TV
On Ariana:She enjoys singing and dancing. Apart from that, she loves playing video games and cars. She has taught me patience in life
On politics:I have no plans to enter politics. I can’t run a state or a country. The whole idea of me canvassing is to spread political awareness
On a comeback:I have a lot of pressure from people to come back in films. Let’s see when that happens. But at the moment, I am too happy working on TV
On her TV show:The show (Chhote Miyan) suited me perfectly as being a mother, I love children. I really like the kind of talent the kids on the show have
On Delhi:I like the food in Delhi. The city has really blossomed in the last few years, but I feel the city needs to work at women safety
Do you think filmstars make good politicians? Should they enter politics?
