Just when John Mayer is "looking for love" after his recent breakup with former Friends star Jennifer Aniston, his ex Sheana Marie is spreading the word that she is the new girl in his life.

Marie, 23, a cocktail waitress, has been claiming about her romantic links to the rocker musician telling people "he's funny and sweet", and boasting he has "nice lips", reports contactmusic.com.

His friends, however, have hit back at the waitress saying that there's nothing going on between the pair.

"They're no longer in contact. She's been exaggerating her interactions with him. He goes on dates and he's looking for love like everybody else, but he and Sheana are not in contact at all," said one of Mayer's friends.
