Hollywood star Jude Law has finally decided to meet his daughter Sofia, more than three months after she was born.
The Sherlock Holmes star has previously avoided seeing his daughter with model Samantha Burke, who was conceived during a brief fling. However, the 37-year-old actor took a U-turn and telephoned Burke at Christmas to arrange a visit "within a few weeks" to meet his love child at her Florida home, News of the World reported.
"She's over the moon. She was hurt he had not seen Sophia," a friend of Burke said.
The change comes in the wake of his reported conversation to his parents and ex-wife Sadie Frost, the mother of his other three children. Burke who had a two-week romance with Law a year ago is hopeful of a reunion but the actor is now back with ex-lover and actress Sienna Miller.
"She told us they would get back together but I think Jude just feels a responsibility to his daughter," the friend added.
