Kanpur wants to protect Salman

Competion to be bodyguard for the day to Salman Khan and Katerina Kapoor sees record number of entries.

Seems like the people of Kanpur are Salman Khan’s biggest fans. As part of the promotions of the actor’s latest film, Bodyguard, the makers launched an innovative conert, which offers the winner a chance to play bodyguard to Salman and his leading lady, Kareena Kapoor, and protect them for a day when they visit their city.

In just one day, a whopping 2.5 fans applied for the post, and entries continue to pour in, non-stop. Thrilled by the response, director Atul Agnihotri confirms, “It’s overwhelming to see how positively the people of Kanpur have responded. To choose one person amongst so many deserving ones will be a task! As a concept it is an extremely enriching experience.” Bodyguard is set to release on August 31.
