Singer Katy Perry mimicked her actor-husband Russell Brand while promoting her first ever stint as guest host on Saturday Night Live.
The I kissed a girl singer ensured that Brand, known for his cheeky persona and affected mannerisms, was given a light-hearted ribbing when she impersonated him while shooting for the trailer with show favourite Kenan Thompson.
Thompson asked Perry if hubby dearest had given her any hosting tips.
"Did your husband Russell Brand give you any hosting tips?" The Daily Mail quoted him as saying.
In a very mocking accent and wildly gesticulating, Perry said that Brand asked her to act A Bit Cheeky.
“Actually he said talk like this, and look like this and be a bit cheeky,” she said.

{{/usCountry}}The trailer has been shot in the style of a sequence of bloopers, with each star showing off their comic side. In another part of the video, Thompson challenged Perry to prove her acting prowess by playing an out of work mother who’s about to lose her home.
After the singer’s performance, he mockingly said that she was really good.
