Kiran sees a participation of over 15,000 students every year from 60 different colleges in the city. Says Manju Nichani, Principal of KC College, “I am excited to see how Kiran is shaping up this year. Our festival epitomises the never-say-die spirit of the youth and provides a competitive stage for participants.”

Student chairperson Sahil Bhagat says, “Every year, the festival spreads awareness on core socio-economic issues that irk the youth, and this year we have adopted the theme Greenwave. Our aim is to spread the message that every single person depends on the planet, and hence, each of us is responsible for its survival. Changing the way we lead our lives may seem difficult, but it’s not

impossible.”

This year, too, the festival promises challenging events. Nabila Rakhangi, OC of the Western Performing Arts says, “We have introduced over 40 events in literary arts, dramatics, Indian singing and dancing, western singing and dancing, and computers and sports.”

Students interested in participating may come to KC College, Dinshaw Vaccha Road, Churchgate, on September 17 and 18. For details, contact Sahil Bhagat at
