Kim Kardashian opened up about her 72-day marriage Kris Humphries while co-hosting a show, and revealed that she was taken aback by the negative response to her divorce from her ex-hubby.
The 31-year-old reality star made the revelation when she stepped in to perform co-hosting duties on Live with Kelly in New York City.
“It’s been a hard couple of months,” the Daily Mail quoted her as saying.
She hit back at claims the wedding was just a publicity stunt.
“If you really think about it, if this was a business decision and I really made all that money that everyone was claiming that we made off this wedding, and if the wedding was fake and just for TV, I’m a smart businesswoman, I would have stayed married longer.
“I really didn’t think following my heart would create this much backlash.
She insisted that she “tried everything” to make the relationship work.
"I want that forever love, and if I feel in my heart this isn’t right, then why wait years to have the same results?” she said.

{{/usCountry}}The actress revealed that after the split, she packed two pairs of sweatpants and a pair of pyjamas and moved in with her mother, Kris Jenner, to do some soul searching.
But, the self-proclaimed hopeless romantic hasn’t give up on love yet.
“I think I just learned that I need to rewrite my fairytale,” she added.
