Honestly, a lot of women intimidate me. I am a little nervous of women who carry Louis Vuitton bags and wear Prada shoes. I wear brands myself but I don’t know what to say to brand-conscious women beyond a polite ‘hello’.

A normal conversation about films, politics or sports.

What role does Riteish play in real life — the guy who’s petrified of women or the cool dude?
I fall in-between the two extremes. I would like to pick up some of the traits of my character in Kya Kool Hain Hum. I like the way he carries himself.

No marriage plans?
I have not thought about it, though I guess I am old enough to start thinking about it. The thought of marriage scares the living daylights out of me. It’s a huge commitment.

Bachelors are wilder than married men. What do you say?
It’s a myth. Men get wilder after marriage (laughs).

What is your opinion on premarital sex?
If it’s between two consenting adults, I think it’s fine.

Do you sense when a woman makes a pass at you?
No. She has to spell it out big time. She has to write it down on a placard, like the ones cricket fans carry in stadiums.

Would you go for an arranged marriage?
Yeah, I would.

An arranged match in today’s times?
Yes. I have been conditioned to believe in it.

Some men feel women gossip more than men.
On the contrary, I feel men crave for gossip. They bitch a lot. I love gossip. But I know where to draw a line.

Who does Ritesh Deshmukh find pretty?
Preity, Kareena, Rani.

So why aren’t you working with these three heroines?
I have not been offered a film with them. May be I am not good enough.
