How has your life changed after

but I am still living in Bombay. Fox, Star, the distributor, producer all of them have become millionaires. My life is the same.

But there are reports that you are doing the popular US TV show 24?

I am the kind of person who always speaks about whatever I am doing when the time is right. The only thing I can say now is ‘Yes I am doing it’.

Does that mean Bollywood will take a backseat?

India will always be my first priority. At the moment, I felt this show [24] was interesting so I took it up.

Would you consider doing television in India?

What are your film production plans?

I am starting No Problem, which stars Sanjay Dutt and Akshaye Khanna and is directed by Aneez Bazmi and Ayesha with Sonam and Abhay Deol.

You have strongly believed that an actor’s job is to act and not endorse products. But your daughter Sonam
is becoming the popular choice amongst the ad czars...

Now that the DVDs of Slumdog are out, what are its chances of success?

I am sure people who have seen the film on the big screen would want to own a DVD. It’s a collector’s item. The film has repeat value.
