Actor Nargis Fakhri has dismissed her link-up with actor-producer Uday Chopra by saying she doesn’t care about it at all. “It’s just another one on the list and I know media is not going to end it. But I really don’t care about all of this,” says the 32-year-old actor, who has earlier been linked to actor Ranbir Kapoor and entrepreneur Ness Wadia.
The actor, who recently gave a dance performance at the 5th EEMA Awards, says that her journey has not been that easy so far. “I have gone through such a phase of life which was much needed for me to learn and grow as a human being,” she says. “I started my career with modelling, as I wanted to travel. And it proved to be the perfect way for me. But as I’m the new kid on the block, there is still lot to learn and a lot more time to spend,” she adds.
As for learning, Nargis has done a pretty good job of picking up Hindi. “It took me just three months to pick up Hindi. When it comes to languages, I guess I am a fast learner,” she says, adding, “I’m able to write and read Hindi now.”
In spite of her Hindi speaking skills, many people have still criticised her acting talent. What is her take on that? “I actually prefer criticism to compliments because it helps me in becoming better,” she says.
As for her next film, she says, “I am going through a lot of scripts, but it’s too early to say anything.”
