“This is a great wedding. The Clintons are very happy, but at the same time they are giving their only daughter away. So, in that sense, they are emotional,” the media reported Chatwal saying. The wedding took place in Astor Courts, a historic 50-acre estate on the Hudson River, about 160 km north of New York City.

While Delhi was reeling under heavy monsoon shower, the sky at the wedding site was clear and sunny. The venue was declared a no-fly zone for several hours. The guests were not allowed to bring cameras. A friend of the Clintons, Chatwal had attended the rehearsal dinner on Friday. He said that he was the only Indian-American present.

Two years ago Chelsea had visited Delhi with her future husband. Reports say that the newly wed will be visiting South India later this year.
