Preity Zinta's my Pritam Singh: Bobby Deol

Having kept a low profile for almost a year now, Bobby Deol promises to be back with a bang.. with Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, which releases on June 15.

He’s optimistic that the Yashraj movie will more than make up for the failure of Shakalaka Boom Boom.

Quiz him on his where abouts for so long and he answers, “I was very much in the industry. I was busy shooting for the films, which will now release one after another.”

Post Jhoom…Bobby will be seen in Apne. Slated next is Naqab, a thriller by Abbas Mustan, followed by Nanhe Jaisalmer.He also gets to share the screen with Nana Patekar in Sangeeth Sivan’s next. The actor states that he can “concentrate only on one thing at a time”.

“When a film is at a production stage, I pay complete attention to it. I don’t believe in making social appearances just for the sake of being seen or getting publicity,” he explains.

Prod him to divulge something on the awaited flicks and he chooses Jhoom.. “It is a romantic musical, where romance kindles between the characters in the most bizarre situations.”

In the film, he plays a character called Steve, who is half-Brit and half-Punjabi. “Steve is an influential lawyer, very stylish and classy,” he elaborates.

The actor is all praise for his co-star Preity Zinta .

“She is my Pritam Singh. It’s my second film with her and I must say she has grown tremendously as an actress,” he signs off.
