There’s a new ray of hope for underprivileged children suffering from congenital heart defects. Salman Khan’s charitable trust, Being Human, has collaborated with Fortis Foundation for a noble cause, The Little Hearts Program. This initiative will provide free treatment to children with this heart condition at the chain’s hospitals throughout India.

Sharing the thought behind this project, Salman says: “Time and again, Being Human is approached with cases of children with heart conditions. The solution is very specialised and not financially affordable for many. We needed to partner with a reputed institution that could offer a sustained solution, preferably at a pan-India level. In Fortis, we’ve found such a partner.”

Malvinder Mohan Singh, executive chairman of the hospital chain, says: “Children are very close to our heart. They are the hope and flag bearers for a better tomorrow. There is nothing more precious than the gift of life and bringing countless joy and happiness to every child and their family. We hope these kids will grow up into healthy individuals and be an asset to our society.”
