fashion designer Manish Malhotra on day four of the Lakme Fashion Week 2009 in Mumbai.

Khan had been wearing a sling on his left arm after he recently underwent a surgery to repair a tear in his shoulder muscle.

The Bollywood star was the show-stopper for Malhotra's collection, which is inspired by Khan's IPL cricket team - Kolkata Knight Riders.

"Manish is the first fashion designer in the history of mankind to design a sling. I don't know if they give away a Filmfare Award at the end of the fashion show. But I think Manish should be given a Filmfare for the best sling. He's the world's best sling designer now," Khan joked as he addressed a frenzied crowd cheering for him.

He said he was supposed to give up the sling a day before the show. "I was supposed to give it up and Manish showed me the (gold and black) sling and I said I'd give it up on Tuesday. So from on Wednesday I am without the sling. But oh! To wear a sling designed by Manish Malhotra in black and gold!" Khan quipped.

do it," he said.

Earlier this month, cricketers Aakash Chopra and Murali Kartik, had walked the ramp for Malhotra at the Wills Lifestyle Fashion Week in Delhi.

"It's a dream for any designer to get Shah Rukh to walk the ramp. He's been a very good friend, we've done lots of films together... ," Malhotra told reporters in Mumbai.

Malhotra, who has dressed scores of actors, said the IPL-inspired outfits had sarees with racerbacks, lehengas with jumbo jackets, sherwanis with track pants, trench coats and jerseys, all in the recurring black and gold theme.

"Kolkata Knight Riders' black and gold was Shah Rukh's idea. He gave so many good ideas. I think black and gold and Kolkata Knight Riders look most glamourous," Malhotra said, adding that his collection hits the shelves next month.
