Simon Cowell has admitted that there was some intense "sexual tension" with Paula Abdul during their early American Idol days.
The music mogul made the startling revelation, about his X-Factor co-judge Abdul in an interview with Barbara Walters for her 10 Most Fascinating People of 2011 special, that initially they couldn’t even stand each other, tooFab.com reported.
"The first two seasons, we couldn’t travel on the same plane together," he said.
"We really disliked each other that much."
On being probed further for the reason for their dislike he blamed it on the sex factor, claiming that Abdul wanted him.
"I think it sexual tension ... on her part.
When asked whether Paula Abdul wanted him, he said "A million percent."
"I considered it, but then I thought, I don’t think the after would be as good as the before," he added.
