She hates Sonam Kapoor’s character in the film Aisha. A South Delhi girl, unlike Aisha, doesn’t wear Victorian-era hats while watching polo. And not all of them think middle-class boys are losers.

With her regular binging on blueberry cheesecakes in Big Chill and pancakes in Choko La, a south Delhi girl has to jog daily on the treadmill, or else her boyfriend may shift attention.

A South Delhi girl selects her food from different venues. She has sushis in Select Citywalk mall, hot dogs in IHC’s American Diner, watermelon mojito in M-Block Market’s Smoke House Grill and yes, gobi manchurian in Lajpat Nagar.

Verdict from Ila Bose, Anand Lok
“The stereotypes of a South Delhi girl are true. All my life, I have lived a cocooned existence in south Delhi and have never gone beyond Greater Kailash, South Extension and Khan Market. I’m being honest when I’m saying that, yes, we south Delhi girls are snobbish.”

She hates Sonam Kapoor’s character in the film Delhi-6. A Walled City girl, unlike Bittu, doesn’t leave the house in salwar suits and change into skimpy dresses in college washrooms.

With all the biryanis and kebabs that she eats in her area’s street stalls, an Old Delhi girl needs to keep her figure trim. Evening walks in the terrace is popular. It also gives her some respite from the city clutter too.

What can a Walled City girl eat? There is no Korean specially restaurant here. She has to find happiness in Natraj kedahi bhalle in Chandni Chowk. If she feels adventurous, she orders Chicken Mexican wrap from Chandni Chowk’s McDonald’s.

The Old Delhi girl loves her old childhood friends. Her idea of hanging out is spending time at the best friend’s haveli. If she has a boyfriend, she never flaunts him in the Matia Mahal streets. Instead, she takes the Metro from Chawri Bazaar and meets him in trans-Yamuna malls.

Verdict from Tuba Mirza, Ansari Road
“There is nothing that a South Delhi girl has and which a old Delhi girl cannot have, including the freedom to move about. An educated Old Delhi girl can adjust herself really well in any kind of place, be it a club, a coffee shop, or a market place.”
