Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is endorsing a dry Holi to save water, and actor Rahul Bose is propagating the use of organic colour. This Holi, Bollywood stars are doing their bit for the environment.

While shooting for the Holi song sequence in the upcoming film, Action Replayy, Aishwarya, her co-star Akshay Kumar and director Vipul Shah decided against using the 70-80 tankers of water that would be required for the shoot. “We decided to save the resource and send out the message that people should not waste water,” said Shah.

Actresses Neha Dhupia and Anushka Sharma endorse organic colours. “It saves our resources,” says Dhupia, while Sharma says, “They are eco-friendly and do not damage hair and skin.”

Green man Rahul Bose confesses that Holi is his favourite festival. “De-pollute Holi — celebrate it the natural way. Please let’s not waste water senselessly and use natural colour,” he says.
