Pawan Shankar, who was last seen in
Kya Hua Tera Wada
(as Mona Singh's husband), can't get over the fact that his close friend Jiah Khan is no more. The late actor was a family friend, and Pawan knew her since he first came to Mumbai. "Her family was one of the first I met in the city. We were together in Saroj Khan's dance classes as well," reveals Pawan.
Reportedly Jiah's relationship with Aditya Pancholi's son Suraj was a big reason behind her fatal decision. About that Pawan says, "One shouldn't take their life for such reasons. When you are in love, the guy is important, when you have kids, they become more important. Things keep changing. We all go through ups and downs in life and at some point we'll want to end it all. But the strength is in moving on," says Pawan, sounding angry and emotional. "My other friend Kuljeet (Randhawa) also faced similar issues (the actor also committed suicide due to a failed relationship). She was a dear friend. But after they are gone it is the family and friends who suffer. If you love your dear ones, you shouldn't take this step."
Jiah's mom and sisters are shattered, says Pawan, recalling his first acting assignment for which he had worked with Jiah's mom in London. Pawan also reveals that an astrologer had predicted that the year would be tough for Jiah. "And had she faced this year, good times were in store."
