Aanchal started a dog shop some years ago, which has everything from clothes and dog food to complete dog grooming. This year, with the help of her designer friend, Sonya Vajifdar, she is introducing designer raincoats for dogs. This idea struck her because of her own two dogs- Cadbury and Yogi. “I was looking for raincoats for my dogs as it is not very good for them to get wet everyday. When I couldn’t find any, I came up with this idea,” says Aanchal.
Size varies
The raincoats are available in different sizes, depending on the dog. The price of the raincoats ranges from Rs1650 to Rs 2250, depending on the size and the style. You can also get the raincoats customised as per your taste.
Along with the raincoats, Aanchal also has waterproof Slipper Socks for the dogs. The price of one set is Rs 500. “Slipper socks are very essential, they prevent dogs from dirtying your floor with their muddy feet. Plus, they look very cute wearing all this,” says Sonya Vajifdar, the designer of these unique raincoats and socks.
Another interesting option that you have is of wearing a matching raincoat with your pooch. These raincoats are also made by Sonya Vajifdar, who made her debut with rain wear at the London Fashion week this year. The price of raincoats for people is Rs 5000 onwards for adults and Rs 2000 onwards for kids.
